Will there be scars?

Operations without scarring are impossible. But with special incision and stitching techniques it is possible for the scars to be barely visible.


How long does it take to heal?

It is important for the patient to know when he or she can return to public life. Against the expectation of many patients, only minimal swelling, pain and discoloration is caused by the bruising. Generally with certain camouflage techniques, most patients feel comfortable in public towards the end of the second postoperative week.


I am afraid of a mask-like appearance! How do you avoid that?

A correctly performed facelift tightens the sinking structures of the skin, the so-called SMAS (system of binding and fatty tissue and mimic muscles.) This results in a dynamic lift. Tension on the skin is avoided. The skin appears younger naturally.


How long does a facelift last?

A correctly performed facelift with tightening of the SMAS makes you look about 10 years younger. This effect is permanent, and is influenced only by the normal further aging of human tissue.
