Liposuction (Lipoplasty)
Liposuction is a procedure used to form areas of body where fat tissue has accumulated, e. g. in the hips, thighs, lower legs, buttocks, abdomen etc. Lipoplasty is advisable when adipose tissue does not response well to diets or physical exercises.
During an initial consultation our specialist will thoroughly examine your body especially the areas you wish to treat. Modern examination methods help us to advise the liposuction procedure that is optimal for you. As lipoplasty can be combined with other surgeries our specialist will advise you which combination is expedient to reach the most natural result and explain the different techniques.
We perform Lipoplasty by using the "tumescent", "vibration", "super-wet" or "ultrasonic" technique. We will advise you regarding vantages and disadvantages of each procedure. Vibration-Lipoplasty can be done under local anaesthetics whereas the other techniques are better performed under general anaesthesia. Small cannulae are placed through tiny incisions, adipose tissue is removed and the area is sculpted. Liposuction surgery takes one and a half to four hours depending upon areas treated and can be performed inpatient as well as ambulant. For two weeks following liposuction surgery you have to wear compressive bandages or garment 24 hours a day and for an additional two weeks overnight. Tumescences and black and blue marks will disappear in about six weeks. Most patients return to work after one to three days. During consultation we will inform you about everything you have to attend after liposuction procedure. The results of lipoplasty are durable because fat cells cannot return to an area they have been removed once. Liposuction cannot replace a balanced diets or physical activities but it can help to rebuild an attractive body sculpture. The procedure fits well for lank and low overweight people.
