FAQ LiposuctionWhat is liposuction? Liposuction is a well-established treatment that was first performed over 35 years ago, and has been developed to perfection and highest safety since. Liposuction means the removal of excess fat by suction. The excess fat is removed from the area to be treated by a method called tumescence- and the body is newly shaped. Which body areas can be treated with liposuction? All body areas where so-called fat deposits exist: thighs, buttocks, stomach, upper arms and chest, hips, calves and knees, but also in the face, for example double chins. Are the results of liposuction permanently stable? In a certain weight range (10 kg) the results in the treated area are stable. Usually if there is a positive calorie balance, the fat deposits are redistributed.
