Lipostructure

Lipostructure ("lipo"= fat) is a gentle method to look younger. An injection of the patients own body fat is used to model aesthetic body proportions, to correct defects from prior operations, to treat wrinkles, to enhance lips and cheeks, to enlarge buttocks and calves, to treat cellulite and scars. Fat injections combine well with liposuction. The body fat transfer (Fournier), lipofilling, lipotransfer, lipostructure (Coleman), liporecycling (Sattler) or liposhifting (Blugerman) has the advantage of causing no risk of allergic reactions, because body material is used.

The fat is won in a gentle and simple way, using local anaesthesia called tumescence as in liposuction. It is then centrifuged, and the fat cells are injected into the determined body area with special canullas.
